Welcome to the Netherlands Implementation Collaborative!

The Netherlands Implementation Collaborative (NIC) is a professional network for implementation scientists and implementation specialists in the Netherlands.

By sharing knowledge about how professionals can effectively implement and evaluate evidence-based programs, policies, and guidelines, NIC hopes to improve the health, well-being, and welfare of people in the Netherlands.

Vlaggen van verschillende landen

The Netherlands Implementation Collective was started in 2014 by a number of enthusiastic organizations to raise awareness of the importance of implementation science and of effective implementation strategies for implementing evidence-based programs in care. NIC is currently led by a group of experts in implementation and implementation science from various organisations in the Netherlands.

Our mission

In the Netherlands, there is a gap in knowledge about how to implement effective, innovative, and evidence-based improvement plans in routine practice in healthcare, social service, and educational settings.

The Netherlands Implementation Collaborative aims to reduce this knowledge-to-practice gap by sharing knowledge, resources, and strategies to support the effective implementation of evidence-based programs, policies, and guidelines in the Netherlands.

Four sub-committees have been established to help NIC meet this goal:

  • Methods and Tools for Implementation and Implementation Science
  • Implementation Research
  • Education and Training in Implementation and Implementation Science
  • Networking and Coaching
